Conflict Minerals Policy

Policy Statement

Photonic Science & Engineering Limited (PSEL) are committed to ethical business practices and full compliance with all laws and regulations. We support and respect the protection of human rights. As a business, we understand the significant impact that conflict minerals can have on human rights, as well as environmental sustainability and regional stability, especially in conflict-affected regions across the globe.

Conflict minerals are minerals, including but not limited to tin, tantalum, tungsten, and gold, that are mined under conditions of armed conflict, human rights abuses, and environmental damage, particularly in regions like the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and its neighbouring countries.

PSEL is committed to sourcing components and materials from companies that share our values around human rights, ethics, and environmental responsibility. Due diligence is utilised to evaluate our suppliers. Suppliers who provide materials or components that contain tin, tantalum, tungsten and or gold are reviewed and approved based on their assurance conflict-free minerals are used in the products. Where applicable, we require suppliers to provide compliance documentation.

PSEL does not source directly from smelters or mines.
