Photonic Science & Engineering Limited (PSEL) are leading manufacturers of high-performance digital cameras and detector systems covering the spectrum from X-ray, visible, Short Wave Infrared (SWIR) and neutron detection. PSEL has taken a responsible attitude towards the environment and regards this as an important element of the overall business strategy.

Commitment to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution will be demonstrated through the setting of environmental objectives that are appropriate to the nature, scale and environmental impact of the business’ activities, products, and services.

The company is fully committed to continual improvement in all areas, including our environmental management system. This is achieved through regular monitoring and reviewing in order to reduce our negative environmental impacts, improve our positive environmental impacts and ensure fulfilment of compliance obligations.

We have set appropriate objectives which are translated, where possible, into measurable key performance indicators. These objectives are reviewed throughout the year and annually at the Management Review by Senior Management. The Policy is reviewed at least annually by Senior Management. This policy has been communicated internally to all staff and is available to all external interested parties on request.

This Environmental Policy Statement is applicable to all areas of the business and has been implemented to meet the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2015.

It is our policy to:

• Protect the environment and prevent pollution in all aspects of the business
• Reduce the environmental aspects and impacts of our operations
• Develop our employees and processes by ensuring awareness, competence and facilities are in place
• Comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations

PSEL expects all its suppliers to comply with relevant environmental legislation.
