Introduction
PSEL is a fast-growing specialist imaging equipment manufacturer based in East Sussex. The company has 20 employees and is part of the Tibidabo Scientific Industries group of companies. There is an opening for an Global Sales Manager to help with the continuing growth of the company.
Background
The company develops and manufactures a wide range of camera products and x-ray instrumentation equipment. This a key role within the company with responsibility for co-ordinating our sales activities, including both domestic (direct) and international sales (via distributors) *.
Due to the international nature of the products and markets, some experience of export regulations is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
The role provides a high degree of customer support and applicants must possess a dynamic and application driven approach to the sales process.
Co-ordination with other departments will be required.
*North American sales are delivered through our Tibidabo-USA subsidiary.
Dimensions
The Global Sales Manager is a full-time role, defined as minimum 37.5 hours per week and they are expected:
• Manage flow of sales information and produce reports regarding sales performance
• To contribute to the overall achievement of company objectives and KPI targets.
• To work more than 37.5 hours per week if needed
• To support customers and internal departments
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be involved in some or all of the following tasks:
• Provide quotations and specification to customers
• Liaise with technical departments to ensure technical details are correct and that the best information is made available to customers
• Respond in a timely and professional manner to customer and distributor enquiries
• Follow-up sales leads
• Manage export requirements and export license applications
• Work effectively with internal PSEL functions (Operations, QA, Finance and R&D etc)
• Contribute to the preparation of specific marketing materials as required
• Populate and utilise appropriate PSEL CRM systems
• The role may include other reasonable duties/tasks from time to time.
Key Results Areas
1. Operational Duties
• Ensure that PSEL products are promoted appropriately
• Ensure that customer requests are supported and answered in a timely manner
• Identify and contribute to the research of new markets, applications and sales avenues
• Identify gaps where new or existing products are applicable and useful
• Support the writing of technical product documentation and specification
• Promote and support products to ensure that PSEL customers receive a high quality of customer service
• Work effectively with other internal PSEL functions (Operations, QA, Finance and R&D etc) to ensure successful delivery of end user products

Person Specification
Essential
- Account/Sales Management Experience
- Use of office systems and administration including Microsoft Office/Publisher
- Distributor Channel Management & Development
- Some experience of Export control
- Understanding of CRM systems
- Read and interpret specification & technical documents
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Data Analysis and presentation
- Strong IT skills and use of Microsoft Office
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent personal organisation
- Dynamic, positive, enthusiastic and possess the ability to think laterally and act through reasoned decision making

Desirable
- Educated to degree Level in a, Biosciences, Physics, Engineering or other relevant technical discipline
- A proven record as a team player who has the ability and confidence to work on own initiative and independently when needed.
